Teamwork Begins at Home

In reflecting on our first three years in business, we want to congratulate several people with whom we have worked:

WhooshWeb, Inc. / Olympia Online, a highly successful new web design firm and online business directory, which acquired a new product line, a growing staff, a new office, and a string of happy customers -- all in less than a year and all without losing sight of the founder's professional, business and personal values.

The Washington State Lottery, and its management team, for planning and carrying out a statewide business conference in the spring of 1999 that achieved its objectives and received outstanding evaluations from the participants.

We express our gratitude to the countless friends, colleagues and associates who have helped us, encouraged us and advised us, as well as the clients who have had confidence in us. In case you hadn’t guessed, this includes you.

The Capitol Facilities Division of the Washington State Department of General Administration, for receiving a legislative appropriation to continue the preservation and renovation of Washington’s superbly beautiful, but aging, Legislative Building. The Capitol Facilities team is working with the Commission on Legislative Building Preservation and Renovation to make Washington’s domed Capitol a great place to conduct the people’s business for generations to come.

Thurston County Treasurer Robin Hunt’s two employee teams, each of  which developed and carried out innovative business improvement projects for the Treasurer’s Office and the people of Thurston County. In only eight weeks, both teams set goals, organized their work, developed specific action plans, and carried out their plans, achieving the goals they had set.

Our associate, Dr. Marge Mohoric, who assisted the Washington State Employment Security Department in developing a training program that introduced jobless people to job-search tools under Washington’s Work First initiative to get employable people into jobs.

Thank You

We also want to extend our thanks to a few of the people who have provided business and professional services to us in the past year, including:

Linda Carlisle at McSwain & Co., P.S., for her patient and knowledgeable help in setting up our corporate bookkeeping system.
Kazon Ayala and West Coast Bank for their professionalism and attention to customer service in handling our corporate account.
James Johnson and the good folks at Cell Tell of Olympia for going the extra mile in making sure our paging service worked as it should.
Bob Jensen of Jensen & Puntigam, P.S., for helpfulness and guidance in registering our business name and trademark.
The helpful public servants in the Secretary of State Corporations Division, especially the thoughtful woman who opened the door for Dave one afternoon when he arrived just after closing time.
Luis Prado an exquisite graphic artist who studied our corporate values
and principals, then designed our corporate logo.
Valerie Champagne at Quantum Leap Computing for resource center web design.
